Elisa Puerto Aubel

SCREENWRITER, SCRIPT CONSULTANT & DIRECTOR


Elisa is a French and Spanish screenwriter, script consultant, and director currently based in Spain. Focused on genre content – Horror, Sci-fi, Cli-fi and New Climate Narratives –, she writes for production companies in Europe and Latin America.

She studied philosophy at Madrid’s UCM. She then studied Screenwriting during the 3-year EICTV course (Cuba) and the 1-year International FAMU program (Czech Republic).

She has written true crime miniseries for streaming platforms, and was the screenwriter of the documentary La Venganza de Jairo («Jairo’s revenge», which won the Audience Award at the Documenta section of the Sitges Film Festival and was nominated for Best Screenplay at the Macondo Awards).

She has written and directed the sci-fi and horror short films La antesala (The anteroom – premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival) and El establo (The barn – Seminci, BIFAN, candidate for the Goya awards 2024). Both are available in Spain on Rtve and Divergente.

Her Cli-Fi Survival feature film project «Cracks» (French and Spanish co-production) has been selected for the Full Circle Lab (Tatino Films), the Résidence Sofilm 2024, the Change Now – Film for change Pitch, and the Eurogenre Pitch 2025. She also was one of the 3 European residents of the I WomanInFan Fantastic Residency – Sitges Fan Lab with her Horror Cli-Fi feature film project «The mound» (La loma). Her Horror feature screenplay «She-cub» (Cachorra) was one of the Fantastic 7 at the Marché du Film in Cannes 2025.

As a script consultant, she was an analyst for Eurimages (Council of Europe) from 2016 to 2020 and has advised on more than 500 screenplays for feature films and miniseries across funding programs, streaming platforms, and production companies. She is a mentor in international development labs and screenwriting residencies.

After being selected to participate in the Climate Spring “Changing Climate Narratives” think tank, she began collaborating with European organizations focused on developing New Narratives on screen around climate change and sustainability. Today she works as a Green consultant (Sustainability & Storytelling) for Netflix.

She teaches «Screenwriting», «Fiction and non-fiction narrative», «Horror film» and «New Narratives in genre film» at Universities and film schools in Europe and LatAm.

She has also written immersive experiences for Digital art studios and VR / 360º projects. She has recently been in charge of the narrative of an immersive art & History project for the Prado Museum with ArtGP (France).
